2023 ADVANCE COMPETITION & FEES

                                           

 

                                                               Junior Olympic Championship Series

                                                              $30 USATF MEMBERSHIP  &  UNIFORMS ARE REQUIRED

                                                    ALL RELAY TEAMS MUST WEAR THE SAME UNIFORM OR T-SHIRT

 

            $8 For each individual event the athlete participates at USATF New England Junior Olympic Track & Field                    Championship Saturday, June 24, 2023Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg MA    

             The top 8 finishers in each age group in each event qualify for the Region 1 Championship in New York. 

            $? For each individual event the athlete participates at USATF Region 1 Championship, July 6-9, 2023                             at Taconic Hills High School, Craryville, NY       

            The top 5 finishers in each age group in each event qualifies for the National Championship in Eugene OR.

                 

            $? For each individual event the athlete participates at USATF National Junior Olympic Championship,                          Eugene, Oregon July 24-30 -

 

                  

                                         *Note about USA Track & Field membership.

USA Track & Field is the governing body for all (adult & youth) Track & Field, Road Races, and Cross Country in the USA. You will need to get an individual membership to compete in Junior Olympic Races. FAST TRACK  is a USA Track & Field  registered team.

 

When you register with USA Track & Field you register under FAST TRACK. 

Your Association ID Number is: 02. Your Organizational/Club Number is: 318   

You will be in the New England Association.

Meet basics and eligibility
The meet is open to all youth with no qualifying standards.
All entrants must be current 2023 USATF members with date of birth verification.
Competition is by Age divisions 
Age divisions are based on year of birth - the age on December 31.
For 2023,
8/under - Born 2015 and later
9-10   - Born 2013 and 2014
11-12 - Born 2011 and 2012
13-14 - Born 2009 and 2010
15-16 - Born 2007 and 2008
17-18 - Born 2005 and 2006, and born after July 30, 2004

Entry requirements for the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Championship 

  1. 2023 USATF membership  http://bit.ly/USATFMembership

  2. Date of birth verification.   

    1. This  is done by uploading proof of date of birth in the membership system (USATF Connect) through the individual membership profile. This can also be completed by club administrators for club members

    2. Here is a short helpful video on the process.

  3.  Enter meet and events via Athletic.net Entry process information and link coming in May.

EVENTS
Track Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m
1500m Race Walk, Hurdles - 80m/100m/110m and 200m/400m,
4x100m relay, 4x400m relay
Field Events: Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault

 

Events Waived To Region 1
The 4x800m relay, steeplechase, and combined events are not contested at the New England meet.  Those interested in advancing to Region 1 in those events may request a waiver. Email youth@newengland.usatf.org after May 1.

ENTRY
Entry is online only using athletic.net and opens on May 1
Entries will close Wednesday, June 21, at 12:00 NOON
Entry fee is $8 per individual event.  There is no fee for relays.
Ages 11/12 and under may enter up to 3 events including relays
Ages 13/14 and over may enter up to 4 events including relays


Relays count as an event as do those events entered by waiver.


The combined events (triathlon/pentathlon/heptathlon/decathlon) do NOT count against the maximum.
Individuals requesting waivers into Region 1 for events which are not held at the New England meet, or for events where a straight waiver is requested, must still enter and pay the fee for those events for the New England meet. The 'waiver' fee for combined events is $8.   There is no waiver fee for the 4x800.

The top 5 finishers in each age group in each event at the Region 1 meet qualify for the National Championship in Eugene OR

July 6-9 - USATF Region 1 Championship hosted by Adirondack association
     Taconic Hills HS, Careryville NY
July 24-30 - USATF National Junior Olympic Championship
     University of Oregon, Eugene OR
